SARAWAK MM2H (S-MM2H) TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms & Conditions

1. The applicant must submit the documents that are required to Sarawak’s Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture for consideration

2. The application must be bonded by either:  (1) a sponsor that is born and currently residing in Sarawak or; (2) a MM2H licensed agent that is registered only in Sarawak

3. The applicant is expected to be able to support themselves financially throughout their participation period under the program

4. All applicants are required to show proof of financial capability by:

  • Mandatory opening of Fixed Deposit Account with any local banks in Sarawak
    RM150,000 for individual
    RM300,000 for couple

     

    AND

  • Presenting their government approved pension funds (for applicants who are 50 years and above)
    RM7,000 for individual
    RM10,000 for couple

     

    OR

  • Show proof of monthly off-shore income funds (for applicants who are 30 years and above)
    RM7,000 for individual
    RM10,000 for coupleFixed Deposit to become mandatory and Pension Fund or Offshore Income as financial proof

5. The applicant must submit medical reports that indicate the state of their (and spouse, if any) health condition during their first (new) and mid-term (extension) application for review and approval purposes

6. The applicant is not allowed to work or be employed by any institution throughout their participation period under the program unless it is granted by the Director General of Immigration Malaysia

7. The applicant is strictly forbidden to participate in any activities that are deemed sensitive to the local people, politics, missionary as well as activities that are provocative, instigative and sensitive in nature that threatens the country or the state’s security

8. All approved participants are required to stay at least 30 days for every year in Sarawak.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. The applicant may come from any country except Israel

2. The applicant has to be at the age of 50 years old and above. Should the applicant has a spouse, no age limit is imposed on the applicant’s spouse

3. Any applicants within the age of 40 to 50 years old that are interested must have an investment in real estate specifically for residential purpose at a minimum of RM 600,000

4. Any applicants within the age of 30 to 50 years old are able to apply should they fulfill the following requirements:

    • The applicant has children below the age of 18 that currently pursuing their education in Sarawak
    • The applicant is undergoing a long term medical treatment in Sarawak with a condition that is verified by government or private physicians that are registered under the Malaysian Medical Council
